Daily operations & appointments

Prepare the shift, handle appointments and close the day accurately.
On this page

Opening the business

  1. Use the correct staff identity and confirm the business, date and Dashboard/Counter mode.
  2. Check the connection. Resolve Offline/Reconnecting before relying on updates.
  3. Confirm opening hours, planned breaks and Accept walk-ins. Resume a legitimately paused queue when staff are ready.
  4. Confirm available services, prices and emergency policy. Make catalog changes before issuing a customer's token.
  5. Confirm the required counters are signed in, available and assigned the correct services.
  6. Check TV pairing, current business name, selected layout and sound with the sound-check page or an agreed sample journey.
  7. Check QR destination/availability and WhatsApp balance. If online payment is offered, verify the correct Live gateway/account status.

During business hours

Use Walk-in or the QR workflow once per intended visit. Let the server calculate charges and revisit benefits. Call only the intended next compatible work. Start when work actually starts; complete when it actually finishes. Use Hold for short absence and No-show for an absent called customer. Cancel only the intended waiting token and record the reason.

Watch both queue state and connection state. Tell customers about delays; do not depend on an old ETA or one notification channel. Keep payment receipts separate from token status. Review Payments that need you when a customer paid without receiving a token. Never take a second payment simply because the TV did not refresh.

Appointments: book, check in and follow the token

Location: Queue Dashboard Appointment. Prerequisites: entitled plan, Enable Advance Bookings on, valid service, operating hours, notice period and slot capacity.

  1. Open Appointment and use its Create appointment control.
  2. Choose the service, date and an available slot. A fully booked/disabled slot cannot be forced into availability by tapping again.
  3. Enter the customer's name/mobile and required appointment-specific fields. Review the slot details and confirm with Confirm appointment.
  4. Verify that the appointment is in the calendar/list. A booked appointment is not yet a Waiting token.
  5. On arrival, select the appointment and use its offered Check in / convert action. In the merchant appointment view the action is named Convert to Token.
  6. Verify the linked token number and that it appears in the actual queue. Continue Call Next, Start and Complete on that token.
  7. If already checked in, open the linked token/status rather than converting again. If state looks stale, reload and confirm the existing token before retrying.

Before conversion, use the appointment's Reschedule or Cancel action when available. Once converted, rescheduling/cancelling the old appointment does not cancel its token; the inspected backend directs you to handle the token instead. Automatic conversion/reminder paths exist under timing/availability rules, but they do not guarantee arrival or exact turn time. The merchant has appointment screens registered, but their active top-level entry was not found; the verified accessible operational entry is Dashboard Appointment.

Closing the business

  1. Review Waiting, Called, Serving and Held before stopping intake.
  2. Stop new intake at the agreed time; confirm business-hours/public QR status.
  3. Complete finished work. Resolve absences and cancellations truthfully; do not mark all tokens Completed as a cleanup shortcut.
  4. Check unresolved paid requests and required refunds/reconciliation.
  5. Review today's reports, recorded collection/pending amounts and any unusual actions.
  6. Log out of shared staff devices when the shift ends. Leave pairing intact on a TV that will remain yours.

A universal merchant Close day / clear all tokens / reset numbering button was not verified. New-day queue/numbering uses the system's India business date; this is not a reason to delete today's records. Operating hours, intake and pause controls serve different purposes.
